However you choose to do so, have a joyous celebration of our country’s independence. But remember the essence of freedom is responsibility; you put your own hand into the fire don’t complain when you get burned.

Happy Independence Day! Here in the PNW setting off fireworks is viewed as an expression of freedom. I don’t think so. You want to really express freedom; then you have to accept real consequences. Try countering the dominant paradigm; leave your government mandated car trash bag at home, or leave your seat belt unbuckled when you drive to the convenience market, or be really radical and cross the street where ever you want (but don’t be stupid, look both ways and wait for traffic to clear).
