February Photo

I’m still busy with projects. But here is a photo from Grand Teton National Park. I took this photo near the Jackson Lake Dam in 2023. I was pursuing a herd of elk, hoping they would cross the Snake River in front of a real colorful stand of Aspen and Willow. Sadly they moved downstream away from the road and I lost them. So I set up for a shot of the Teton Range. The sun broke perfectly and I captured this image.

I was trying photo stacking with this image as the mid range. Since there was no close foreground, stacking was pretty useless. Regardless, the single exposure produced the results I was seeking. I am very pleased with the color contrast produced by the light pool striking the trees in the foreground.
